Sensei Zali
UCS has graciously invited our dojo to do an Aikido demo on Saturday. There were about 11 of us (I'm recalling from memory so errors abound). Our Shidoin came by to give us moral support.

Overall, it was a good practice session where we have guests joining in. The techniques used are basic katatetori techniques. We were also entertained with Jiwaza done by the 3 sensei (Zali, Dani and Baby).

At the end of the demo, Sensei Dani did a nice presentation on Sekishin.

We received a visit from members of Seishinkan Aikido to our dojo and had a joint practice session together.

It was a fruitful practice session and both dojos benefitted greatly from the experience. Special thanks to Reuben from Seishinkan for bringing his students over.

We've had another of our dojo activity today.. Picnic at Kubah. Its a holiday picnic spot with "mini waterfall" all around the place for families to have a nice dip in the cool mountain stream.

The idea of the whole trip is to relax and appreciate what nature has to offer.

Some might say, "Hey wait a minute. That has nothing to do with Aikido". True somewhat.

As Sensei Dani put it (this is the basic understanding that I got from his presentation previously)..
"We are not just an ordinary dojo. We are also building a foundation of understanding and trust among our members through other activities that could aid in our Aikido training pursuit".
